New Law Authorizes Veterans’ Salutes during National Anthem
The 555th hosted 2009 Reunion is in the works:
2009 Reunion
November the 9th, 2008 is the date of the 9th Annual Veteran's Convoy.
It will begin at the Clark County Washington Fairgrounds, (Vancouver, Wa),
to the Oregon state line and progress down I-205,
Officially designated by Oregon legislature as "The Veteran's Highway",
and terminate at the Wilsonville, Ore, Korean War Memorial.
A distance of 35 miles! Ceremonies will be held on both ends
and a Salmon Barbecue will be held in Wilsonville, to finish off the festivities.
Last year, over 300 vehicles took part. Motorcycles,
cars and even two highly decorated Tractor Trailer rigs!!
I would like to invite all Northwest Veterans, or Active Duty Troops to join me there.
